where it came from
Built for a sewing school first
CourseSpot started as the booking system behind Sewing Gem, because running courses on a shop platform meant never quite seeing who was coming to what. It still runs that studio's classes every week.
Other teachers began asking what she was using, and there was no good answer to give them. So it became something anyone teaching classes can pick up, and this is that offer, for the people who heard about it first.

How the Sewing Club offer works
Do I need to enter a code?
No. The offer is attached to this page, so it follows you from here even if you have a read around first and come back to sign up later. You will see it named on the setup screen before you finish.
Is 1.9% really forever?
Yes. 1.9% is 24% below the 2.5% everyone else pays, and it is the rate for the life of your account, not an introductory period. There is no renewal date and nothing to remember.
What does Stripe charge on top?
Stripe takes its own processing fee of 1.7% + 30c on domestic Australian cards. That goes to Stripe, not to us, and it is the same whichever rate you are on.
Do I have to teach sewing?
No. CourseSpot runs pottery studios, language schools, yoga classes and anything else booked by the course or the session. It started in a sewing school, which is why it handles the details that matter there.
Do I need to be technical?
No. If you are starting out, it can build your booking site from what you already have, including your Facebook page, and set it up in your own branding.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. You only pay when you take a booking, so a quiet month costs you nothing.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. There is nothing to pay up front and no card to enter. You connect Stripe when you are ready to take money.
Am I locked in?
No lock-in. You can stop whenever you like, and your students and bookings are yours to export.
